Trauma Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR)
Trauma Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR) is a client centred, evidence based approach that guides individuals in addressing and releasing unwanted emotional or behavioural after-effects of traumatic incidents from the past such as grief and loss, accidents (workplace, motor vehicle accidents [MVA]), injuries, sexual abuse, domestic and other forms of violence and any painful life experiences. TIR also work very well to reduce Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Life Stress Reduction Therapy (LSR)
Life Stress Reduction (LSR) is a complementary approach to facilitate clients in relieving emotional pain and bringing clarity and comfort to troubling personal issues such as difficult relationships, low self-esteem, job/career concerns, financial problems, health issues, anxiety, and fear of the future.
How are TIR/LSR Different from other Traditional Therapies?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a short term, practical and structured form of psychotherapy set in the present moment that helps individuals identify problematic areas in their lives and develop skills and strategies to help modify patterns of dysfunctional thinking and behaviour. It is based on the cognitive model which means that the individuals perception of a problem is more closely connected to the reaction than the actual situation itself. It is a powerful tool to deal with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and insomnia.
Hypnotherapy is an evidence based, time tested complement to regular therapy that can also help clients deal with underlying issues that affect their ability to cope with day to day stress, fears and phobias, anxiety and depression. It is safe, natural and very effective. Hypnotherapy also works well to eliminate unhealthy habits and promote and enhance performance in sports and work. Often only a few sessions are required for good, permanent lasting results.

This therapy is designed to help clients who struggle with ongoing depression and general unhappiness. It is combined with breathing and meditative exercises that promote learning to be mindful and to live in the present moment. It is based on the original works of Jon Kabat-Zin: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short term (typically 3-6 sessions), collaborative and structured form of psychotherapy that concentrates on building solutions rather than solving problems. This is a strengths based therapy that relies on the client’s previous ability to resolve problems. The emphasis is on exploring current resources and future hopes.
